FAQs

Question:

Is there a fee to apply for privileges?

Answer:

Yes, there is a $300.00 administrative fee for all applicants.

Question:

How can I help expedite the credentialing process?

Answer:

Be an active participant by filling out your application completely. If you supply incorrect or incomplete information, hospital credentialing staff must spend valuable time searching for correct addresses and/or phone/fax numbers, which could cause unnecessary delays with processing your application. An incomplete application will be returned to you for completion. Please remember, the responsibility for providing accurate credentialing information lies with you, the applicant.

Question:

Why does the credentialing process take so long?

Answer:

The bylaws and JCAHO require primary source verification of all of your activities since medical school. We are dependent upon responses to our queries regarding training, experience, affiliation, professional reference, licensure and any malpractice information, etc. It is imperative that your application be filled out in detail with regard to dates (month and year), addresses and current contact information.

Question:

Why is credentialing so important?

Answer:

Medical Center Health System’s main priority is to provide quality patient care. Credentialing ensures that we are only allowing the best providers to care for our patients.
