Our Mission

Our mission is to impact the lives of children and their families through raising funds and awareness to benefit the children at Medical Center Hospital.

Our Vision

Together we save kids’ lives.

Our Values

Our Vision and Mission define what we do, but our Values define who we are.

• Integrity – Our hearts guide us.

We believe in our cause, which motivates us to do the right things for the right reasons.

• Teamwork – Our heads unite us.

We respect and value each other, which enhances our ability to collaborate and innovate.

• Leadership – Our hands strengthen us.

We lead by learning from the past, planning for the future and dreaming big.

To date, Children’s Miracle Network at MCH has raised more than $7 million – most of which is donated a dollar or two at a time. One hundred percent of the donations received locally stay in the area to purchase medical equipment, educate staff and promote awareness of programs that benefit children in a 19 county region.

Miracle Child –

Aiden Matthew Lummus

Aiden Matthew Lummus was born eleven weeks premature and weighed a mere 3 lbs. at birth. His first few days of life were difficult, relying on life support to keep his little lungs functioning. After building his strength, he was eventually taken off of his life-saving ventilator. This was a big first step, but it was just the beginning of his long road to recovery. He would go on to live the next five weeks in a NICU isolette. Aiden fought his way to full recovery after spending the first 52 days of his life at Medical Center Hospital’s NICU. Aiden is a true Miracle Child who has helped us all realize just how precious life really is, and how important it is to support children and families who need our help.

How can CMN Hospitals help your child?

CMN Hospitals raise funds for 170 hospitals serving children across North America, including Medical Center Hospital. Locally, CMN helps to fund:

• Life saving equipment for Medical Center Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and mobile equipment for ambulance and air transport of premature and sick newborns

• Continuing Education for NICU and pediatric nursing staff

• Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, which brings primary care directly to ECISD students and their siblings up to the age of 18

• Ronald McDonald Family Room, which provides a respite for the families of children who are undergoing medical treatment. While providing many of the comforts of home, it alleviates much of the anxiety of being in a hospital environment. Families may use the area to rest, reflect, get something to eat and drink, shower or launder clothes.
