Continuing Medical Education

CME Accreditation: Medical Center Hospital is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education to physicians.

Texas Licensure Requirement for CME – Physicians need to complete at least 24 hours of continuing medical education each year, at least half of which must be in formal courses. One hour of formal CME must be in medical ethics and/or professional responsibility. Newly licensed physicians are exempt from the CME requirements the first time they register.

The CME program at Medical Center Hospital is committed to providing high quality continuing medical education opportunities for the general and subspecialty education of physicians in enhancing existing and acquiring current and key knowledge and skills, supported by evidence-based medicine, to identify and meet the needs of the medical community to improve quality and patient safety.
