About Merry Beth

M. Beth Hart M.D., FAAP is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr Hart comes to MCH with 27 years of experience in medicine and practicing Pediatrics. Most of her practice was done in Lubbock where in 2018 she won Best of the West General Pediatrician. Her practice focus is getting to know her patients and their families and watching the family and patients grow and mature. Dr Hart went to undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, has a master’s degree in aerospace science, and attended Medical School at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She also spent 7 years as an officer in the US Air Force and while there won Company Grade Officer of the Year. While she grew up overseas as the child of an Army officer, she has been in West Texas since she was 14 and calls the area home. She has one son who is now 16 whom she fostered and adopted via Child Protective Services. He is the love of her life, and she enjoys parenting him and helping him develop into a mature and healthy young man.
